We are excited this year to be joining with the WA GAP (Washington Guaranteed Admissions Program). This is a program that partners with 6 WA colleges and guarantees admission to college if students meet certain criteria.

The colleges participating in the program are:

Central Washington University

Eastern Washington University

The Evergreen State College

Washington State University

Western Washington University

University of Washington Tacoma

 

Here are the academic requirements colleges are looking for as well as a minimum GPA of 3.0:

  • 4 years of English
  • 3 years of math (Alg 1, Geometry, Alg 2)
  • 3 years of science
  • 3 years of social studies
  • 2 years of the same foreign language
  • 1 year of art
  • 1 year of quantitative/reasoning math senior year

Reasons why this is important for students:

  • The costs of WA colleges are some of the lowest in the nation
  • Students can earn a degree, study abroad, join Greek life, join clubs and activties
  • This gives motivation to students to start preparing now to get admissions to colleges
